 Nanni T4.180 diesel crankshaft  is the main rotating parts of the engine, fitted with Connecting rod, to undertake the rod up and down (back and forth) motion into a cycle (rotation) movement.

The material of the crankshaft is made of carbon structural steel or ductile iron. crankshaft has two important parts: the main journal, connecting rod neck, (there are others). the main journal is mounted on the cylinder body, the operating process of crankshaft is a typical slider-crank mechanism. Engine operating procedure is the piston after mixing compressed air blasting, push the piston linear motion and force to the crankshaft through Connecting rod, then the linear motion become into rotary motion by the crankshaft.
